A little about Fenella Ashworth
Hello! Thanks so much for visiting this site and for your interest in my stories. If you would like to contact me, please do so by email at fenellaashworth@gmail.com
I live in the South of England and, like many of you I’m sure, have a busy life where I am many things to many people; mother, daughter, wife, friend and neighbour to name a few. Last but certainly not least, I am also a writer of hot and steamy romances which I publish under my pen names of Fenella Ashworth and Olivia Harding.
I have been involved with the published word all of my adult life, initially writing articles for a range of magazines such as ‘Heritage’ and ‘The Lady’ in my twenties, whilst holding down a (very dull!) full time job in I.T. I have always had an interest in writing steamy romance but only took the big step of publishing my work in 2017. Upon doing so, I was truly thrilled to receive really positive, constructive feedback and I haven’t looked back since.
I write whenever time allows me to, although with a young child to care for, such precious hours are often few and far between. I personally find that I can only write when I have a very clear head which contains no other ‘noise’. If I’m worrying about something happening at work, or worried about a friend, then my creative brain becomes suppressed.
Much of the inspiration for my stories appears during peaceful early morning walks with my dog; the very calmest part of the day for me. As a result, I always take a notebook and pen out with me and spend most of the time scribbling down ideas and sections of dialogue, giggling at some of the scenarios my imagination comes up with and falling into rabbit holes because I’m not concentrating on where I’m going! The ideas are then transferred back to my laptop later in the day and crafted into something that I hope you will enjoy reading.
Thank you for visiting this website and may I encourage you to sign up to my newsletter. I promise not to bombard you with emails or share your details, not least because that kind of behaviour annoys the hell out of me!
