Has Spring sprung?

Well, here in the UK we have been enjoying amazing Spring weather this week. A couple of days ago, the newspapers were reporting the hottest March day on record, at 25 degrees C (that’s 77 ish degrees F). I know that probably doesn’t sound much to those of you in sunnier climates but, believe me, in the UK, that’s the kind of weather that inspires you to write a blog 🙂 Unfortunately, those in the know are now forecasting the possibility of snow and ice on Monday – typical! I fear our fine weather was very short-lived! Never mind, I got out with the camera and took these, before the chill set in!

Of course, there are some days when you know a camera simply won’t do justice to what you are observing. Early the other morning, in the pinkish-blue dawn sky, I saw the huge, low-slung, pearly white moon just hanging there in space. Flying across it, in silhouette, were five geese in a V shape. The sight took my breath away, but I purposefully decided not to dash back for my camera and instead, I just absorbed it, committing it to memory, in the hope that it might one day inspire my writing.
